5 Things to look forward to for Reignite!

July 15, 2016

Just 1 more day to Reignite! Aren’t you curious to know what Reignite has to offer for the community? To get you hyped up for the carnival, here are some sneak previews to the carnival before the actual day arrives:

1)     Big Art Project

Spanned over a period of one month during the June holidays, the Big Art Project is the brain child of our committee. We agreed that there is no better idea to inculcate a sense of belonging among the children than to get them hands on decorating a banner to be showcased during the carnival. Get a glimpse into their aspirations for the future through their drawings on the theme of ‘Our Hopes and Dreams’ banner.

2)     Photo Exhibition

Another main highlight would be the showcase of the photo exhibition during the carnival. The exhibition will showcase our progress span over the past 8 months which includes our Interactive Education Sessions, Dance, and a June Outing to the Army Museum!  Though not of professional quality, who can deny the genuine portrayal of an unpretentious side of the time we spent with the children?

3)     Henna Painting

We know how much children love Henna painting. It is the only type of tattoo that would earn looks of approval from parents, escape disciplinary actions from schools and the best part- it is a delight to know that the culture still remains relatively popular among and appreciated by many children.

4)     Balloon Sculpting

As the epitome of happiness, what is a carnival without balloons? To raise excitement for Reignite, we bring not just balloons but balloon sculpting to the children. On the day itself, look out for our balloon sculptor who will be sculpting balloons of different characters and shapes for the children.

5)     Games Stalls

We know there’s nothing surprising about having games at a carnival, in fact, it is a necessity. Aligned with the theme of sports for the upcoming carnival, the games would also follow suit. Look forward to games like ‘Slide the Soap’ and ‘Sling n Hit’, some simple but fun games suitable for children of all age.

With so much fun coming up, we need more facilitators than ever to pull off the show successfully. If you are keen to help out for Reignite, do drop us a message on Facebook!
