NUS Sociology
e-Orientation 2020
Dates: 26 - 28 June 2020
In view of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the Sociology Orientation Camp was moved online for the very first time! The Sociology e-Orientation was an exciting 3-day programme with specially curated online activities that introduced freshmen to the discipline of Sociology. Participants also spoke with Sociology seniors to find out about various Sociology modules, and forged meaningful bonds with fellow orientation groupmates.

Some e-Orientation activities were: University Survival Hacks, Kahoot Quizzes, Senior Sharing Session, Module Sharing Session.

REVIEW: SENIOR SHARING
Seniors, coming from a position of wisdom and having lots of experience, were able to give us good advice on both academic matters and career matters from a unique perspective.
REVIEW: ORIENTATION GROUP TIME
OG time was really very fun & I always looked forward to it! Though it’s not easy to interact through the screen, the OGLs really put in a lot of effort to ensure it was never too awkward or uncomfortable for any of us! The OGLs also shared very insightful perspectives and assured us that we have their support which is very heartwarming & comforting to hear! Overall it was really very enjoyable.
